  • How long does the battery last?
The sender has a smaller display screen and will last about 36 hours of continuous use in a dim environment with the backlight display on the whole time. We tested with the worst case scenario. The display unit will be good for about 24 hours continuous operation with the backlight on.
  • Can I use my own charging cord?
Every unit comes with a really nice USB charging cord that attaches magnetically. The unit itself has a standard micro-usb connector (think Android phones) so you can use any cord if you remove the magnetic adapter. Just pull straight up on it and you'll see the familiar port and can use any micro-usb cable you like.
  • Is the radio traffic encrypted so no one can see it?
No, do you know someone with the skill and desire to steal your flow test readings? It would be easier for them to do their own test. Pressure reader units only communicate directly with each other. They do not connect to the internet or any other radio link networks.
  • What happens if my sensor cord breaks?
We get it, cords break. Contact us and we'll send you a replacement. It’s a 30sec replacement with one screw and we have a video on how to do it under Video Walkthroughs.
  • Can it monitor two sender units?
Yes it can. It can currently display 3 senders operating at the same time. You set the senders address with the little red dip switch in the top right corner of the sender. Flip the 1 switch up and it will be node #1, leave 1 down and flip 2 up and it will be node #2. Flip both up and it will be node #3. If you are using just one sender, it won't matter where they are set. If you are using two senders, set them to be #1 and #2. The display will auto recognize the number of units and auto adjust so nothing to do there. Full instructions are at https://www.brandco.io/multiple-pressure-instructions Need more? Custom configurations are possible to meet your needs, just let us know what they are and we'll figure out how to get it done.
  • Why does the screen show LOST COMM?
Once communication starts with a sender the display keeps track of it. In case you get out of range, forgot to change the battery, or any other reason it quits hearing the sender, it will switch to a LOST COMM display so you know you aren't getting real time pressure readings anymore. If it was momentary interference then it will switch back to real time display as soon as it hears from the sender again.
