The Mini v3 includes the option to enable Flow Calc thru a dip switch setting. The switch tells the display if you want to see GPM as well as PSI. The remote display uses diameter and coefficient you input to calculate flow using standard NFPA 291 formulas.
Accessing internal controls
Unscrew the pressure sensor cord and pull straight out to remove it. Remove the nut on the Psi Sensor connector using a 11mm wrench.
Remove the black endcap by unscrewing the 4 screws. Screws are self-retaining in the endcap so loosen one halfway until you feel resistance then move to the next. Continue until they are fully removed.
Slide the circuit board out 1/2” to see the dip switch at the left.
Setting to enable flow calc
The third switch (closest to the pressure sensor connection) with FLOW printed below it controls whether the display will show only pressure or pressure and flow. The default setting is down for pressure display only. Flip the switch up to enable pressure and flow display.
Replace the endcap tightening the screws in a roundabout fashion like you removed them. When the endcap screws are replaced put the sensor nut back on and tighten it 1/4 turn past finger tight. Insert the sensor cord taking care to align it with the pins in the connector. Once it is connected turn the screw barrel clockwise until it is finger tight.
Flow device config
If you are using flow enabled Sender's, you must enter information about your flow device for the display to calculate GPM from the pressure. This information should be obtained from the data sheet for your specific flow device.
Enter the display menu system and scroll down to Flow Device Config. Center press the joystick to select the option. Use left/right to scroll to the field and center press to select it.
Brand: Select the manufacture from the drop down list. Some manufacture's use a correction factor for large outlet diameters such as 4". The display will use this correction if required. If the manufacture is not listed, use the Generic selection.
Outlet Diameter: Select the flow outlet diameter from the drop down list.
Coefficient: Enter the coefficient for your specific device from the manufacture data sheet.
